Thys (Thijs de Vlieger, 1982) is a composer, performing musician, and producer from Groningen, The Netherlands. He has initiated and composed music for interdisciplinary performances and written for various ensembles of musicians.

Besides his solo work, De Vlieger is a member of the critically acclaimed electronic music production trio Noisia, with whom he also scored for major game titles.

Electronic score for a mixed media (video, live generated graphics, live motion tracking) dance performance  featuring renowned prima ballerina Diana Vishneva as principal soloist and 3D models by Bjork collaborator Tobias Gremmler. Shows in  New York City and St Petersburg’s Marinsky Theatre, and many more.


Tetris, Mon Amour

An electronic score for three live percussionists in an interdisciplinary dance and live music performance by Club Guy & Roni. Performed in The Netherlands, Belgium, France, and Israel. Score released in an edited studio version with one track accompanied by a music video by Lex Vesseur.

Release of Noisia album “Outer Edges” and touring the accompanying interdisciplinary performance.


Mechanical Ecstacy

An electronic/acoustic score for three live musicians in an interdisciplinary dance/live music/theatre performance by renowned contemporary dance ensemble Club Guy & Roni. Toured The Netherlands, Belgium and France, and music festivals such as Lowlands.


NNO in the Club

Two collaborative projects with symphony orchestra NNO: scoring for a wind quintet (without electronics) and composing for a live string quartet with electronic music.
